Since it's under warranty Sweetwater is giving me an allowance to get repairs done locally rather than to ship it back which is good since this model is no longer available in the finish I chose but it's pretty significant for a new guitar. The neck and a couple of frets are causing one issue on the low E side and the bridge and movement of the top are creating the issues on the high E side. On Saturday I brought it to a luthier I've used for years. No amount of tweaking the relief or attention to the bridge relieved the problem. A new AJ-220SCE I bought several months ago all of a sudden developed an issue with the high E string fretting out all the way up the neck. The other issue I can easily point to at this time of the year is if you're in a climate with very low humidity and the guitar has dried out some all kinds to weird and strange things can happen until the guitar adapts to it's current environment.įor instance.
Could be issues with high frets causing one problem and on the B string check the nut to see if the string is binding there.
